About Us
St. Theresa of the Child Jesus R.C. Church, Windham, New York, is located in the heart of the Catskill Mountains. Officially designated a parish in the Diocese of Albany in December 1965, we are a vibrant, welcoming and friendly Catholic Church community.
St. Theresa’s serves Windham, the mountain top and surrounding towns. Full-time residents and multiple generations of seasonal second homeowners form the body and spirit of the parish.
Led by the pastor, close-knit lay ministers and active volunteers carry out many of the business and operational needs of the church and her parishioners.
Mass is celebrated once each week on Saturdays at 5:00 PM.
St. Joseph's Chapel in Ashland, New York, the mission church to St. Theresa's, is the oldest church in the Catskills and is a registered historic landmark.
St. Theresa's is part of the Hudson Valley Vicariate - West, a network of 8 parishes and 10 churches within the Diocese of Albany which provides access to resources, programs and support beyond those provided by a single parish.
